Your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day – so make it count, ladies! I’m a huge fan of routine and ritual when it comes to my morning to help bring a little structure to my wild days. Keep reading for a few of my favorites, and comment below with some of your own!
Sweat it Out!
My morning workouts aren’t just time I get to myself, but it’s time I get to recharge. Working out in the morning is proven to boost your endorphins and make you more productive during the day – which is something we could all benefit from! Plus, hitting the gym in the a.m. ensures you’ll be able to fit physical fitness into your busy schedule. It’s easy to knock “gym time” off of your to-do list when you’re feeling overwhelmed, but that’s really the last thing you should do! It’s good for your body and mind, so lace up those sneakers before the kids even wake up and sweat it out!
Spend Time on Breakfast
By the end of the day, everyone is exhausted – especially you! Try your best to make breakfast as a family and get that quality time with everyone before the day starts. Especially if you meal-prep breakfast ahead of time, you’ll be able to sit down, enjoy your coffee, and chat before heading out for work. Not to mention, it’s the most important meal of the day for you and your little ones!
Get a Little Help from Your Favorite Home Bot
If you’re like me, you like to stay up-to-date on all the latest news. Technology makes it easier than ever to stay informed while getting other stuff done. While I’m brewing my morning coffee, I just ask Alexa to tell me the news – and she plays me my station of choice! Plus, most home bots sync with your calendar and weather apps – so you can prep for the day while you’re brushing your teeth!
Embrace Beauty Shortcuts
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – dry shampoo is ah-maz-ing. I use it every single day, and my morning’s wouldn’t be the same without it. None of us have time to wash our hair and blow it out every single day, and there’s no shame in using everyone’s favorite beauty shortcut. I’m also a huge fan of no-kink hair ties. Sometimes you just have to throw your hair up in a ponytail, but you don’t want to ruin your do – so I use these nifty, slinky looking hair ties that don’t leave a crease. It’s been a game-changer.
Get Work Done On-the-Go
Something I find myself doing from time to time is ordering an Uber or Lyft to work in the morning if there is something important I need to get done. Time is precious, and knocking out some emails on the way to the office can save some valuable time once you get to the office. The same applies for those of you who might take a subway, train, or bus to work. It might not always be the best time to get something huge done, but by prepping your brain for the work day ahead while you’re on your way in, you can walk in the office ready to tackle your first meeting with confidence.
And that’s it! Those are my top 5 tips for having an amazing morning. I’m sure all you ladies have plenty more – so comment below and share with the group! I love learning from other awesome momboss ladies, and I’ll even share some of my favorites!
